Tony,
Excellent. I was pretty sure those two would work but wanted some confirmation.
I'll update my list above.
Thanks,
Dave.

Dave,
I am using Alpha 7 and happy to report that my ethernet based device
connection and interaction with my Elk M1 is much more stable.
I am using status messages, triggers and log messages to monitor Elk
zones, arming status and thermostat data.

Alpha8 up and running well. I received an "error"opening Echo Logfile "" " until I created a blank logfile with the same name as the one in the settings.

Dave,
Installed Alpha8 and the internal Elk/Insteon utility now works.
I do have a problem I do not think is PH related in that every time I power cycle the ELK it dumps the Insteon Mac addresses in my M1xsp.
Serial interface/connection to PH from ELK is working fine too.
Also do you know what analog zone I would use to display the Keypad 1 temperature in PH.

I was just doing some maintenance and found that PH was using 147M of RAM. Minimizing brought it down to 15M.

The memory leak test is also showing interesting results to be posted later.

Don't click on Flash in the Control dialog in the Insteon Explorer!
I guess that loop is too tight, and maybe only with the PLM.

Anyone else having ph_winampinfo issues?
I thought it was my bad choice of upgrading to the latest, but I backed down to 292 and still have problems.
The extended list* commands stopped working for me, except for listtitlename.

Tony,
I'm not using PH to control WinAmp other than play/pause. But I tried some of the list commands.
I'm still on v1.03.4.12 and the only list commands I can get to work are listfilename, listtitlename and listpath.
Here is the format I'm using:
ph_winampinfo("listartist",03,0)
*artist, *title, *album, *year, *bitrate, *length - all return nothing when playing both ripped songs and store-bought CDs.

Tony,
I'll check out the Flash loop and see what needs to be done to tone it down for the PLM.
Concerning the ph_winampinfo...this function was one of the ones needed modification for the Unicode changes. However, I tested every option on my system and got valid results for all . I also checked out the code and verified that all should work. I am using a very old Winamp version though...5.09.
Since Brady is still on .12, it appears to be a problem other than Unicode and the alpha.
One thing that could be a problem is that you in order for the "list" functions to work, you must have a playlist defined and loaded within Winamp. I thought it may also have a problem with the info not being there such as when displaying a list of mp3 files in Windows Explorer and certain songs not showing an artist or album but even that did not work as expected. I still got back the artist, and got "mp3" for the album for songs whose info wouldnt show in Windows Explorer.
Im not sure what to make of it or what the next test should be.
Dave.

I wish I could remember when it stopped working.
Playlist defined and loaded: Check
I thought the tags were the problem, too, but I found that it still didn't work with proper tagging.
Again, I backed down to 2.92 from 5.x and it still didn't work.
This is that out-of-process work-around I found, right?

I wanted to test it on my new machine, but it won't run.
here is the error message:
A critical error occurred at 2008-06-04 12:47:42.334.
PowerHome Version: 1.03.4.12
Error Number: 21
Error Message: Bad runtime function reference at line 122 in open event of object genapp.
Window: genapp
Object: genapp
Event: open
Line: 122
Is that because this is a 64 bit machine?
thanks

I just swapped out a PLM. During the switchover, I had to shut down PH and it did not release the web server port. A reboot was required.

I have installed the alpha version on my main machine, and everything works fine, including the Winamp control.
I did notice the memory creeping up (up to 111 MB so far). Not a problem so far.
thanks for the great software

Ah ha! I went to Winamp 5.09, as Dave mentioned, and it seems to at least partially work now. Will investigate tonight.
