Well, although SmartHome said that their ship-to error was corrected, it was not. The PLM will not be delivered today and it won't be here for three more days.
Also, their Tech Support people's response to my Help Desk submission was...

So, I called them. After reviewing the case, they said to replace the PLC.

Thanks,

Long story short, I don't have it yet.
Maybe this evening. Maybe not.

Well, after much too long, the PLM arrived, is up and running, and all is well. Including my trigger!
I dare say that the PLM does X10 better than my old CM11A. For sure better than the Insteon PLC.
Now to catch up on the new alpha...

Tony,
Excellent! I figured it had to be a hardware issue with the PLC. Nothing else made any other sense. I think you'll be much happier with the PLM anyway especially since no SDM is required.
Dave.

The PLM is definately faster...however a lockup is not good. I do hope SmartHome sent you the latest firmware. I have not experienced a problem once I used a PLM with the new firmware. Prior versions though would lock up (sometimes permanently) after 2 to 10 hours.
Has this been the only occurence?
Dave.

I found it locked up again today.
Which firmware should I have?

Another lock up this AM, but cycling power to the PLM fixed it. I didn't need to restart PH.
The last thing in the log were two Off's sent to an Insteon module, an X10 Off, and a partial X10 command (just the addressing portion).
FWIW, the LED on the PLM was solid and very bright like my other lockups.

Yet another lockup this evening. The last command sent was an X10 Off.
When PH caught up after cycling power to the PLM, the 02 60 response was 0D 4E B6 03 05 63 06.

I was not able to restart my PLM the same way. But it is interesting that my last 2 lockups were also X10 related.

From your messages I thought this might be X10 related as well since my PLM hasn't locked up since day 1. I have only 2 X10 devices left and little X10 traffic through the PLM.

The only common denominator in my lockups was X10s. In my case it has been associated with a TV which has an Appliance Module with both X10 and Insteon addresses in use. I do this as to a reliability issue to insure the TV goes on or off. In both cases it was outbound from PH. I have about 7 pure X10 modules left. I wasn’t able to analyze my early lockups. I’m on vacation so I am not able to investigate any further. Hopefully Tony will contact Smarthome on the issue.

Well, that’s a step in the right direction. But I don’t think I’ll wait with baited breath..
