Glad to see it is now working. Just a few thoughts.. The X10 signal was being absorbed by something. Don’t know if you had the receiver on a different phase or there is a lot of noise in the circuit or a surge protector or computers on the same line caused your problem.
Lee your keyboard is faster than mine....

Hi Pete, Glad you folks were able to offer the suggestions that got Williams system working. Nadler did a nice job of explaining the trigger process. Can be difficult to get a newbie going because there are some many possible areas that need attention. I was amazed that I actually beat your post. Normally it has been the other way around.
Anyway, nice job both of you getting the system working!

Well it seems I made a bad assumption. I thought that the access points would couple the x10 signals too. I tried the rr501 and the plm on each phase and it worked but when I put each on a different phase it didn't work. I have a phase coupler for x10 and I will install it later today.
Thanks

Unfortunately none of the Insteon devices repeat X10 signals on the powerline or on RF coupling. Even the older Insteon SignaLincs which preceded the Access Points did not couple X10 signals.
