Hi Dave,
I concur. I would rather see a robust release that you are happy with. Ultimately, if you release something you're not fully-satisfied with, your heart won't be in it, and I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we're using PH because of its features and quality.
Stick to your guns.
Regards,

To the extent that Dave really is comfortable that changes that he has already implemented are ready for release (or at least testing by us), though, and if the only thing holding up release at this point is the control center, then I'd be in favor of getting the release without the control center updates if that can be done without creating "too much" additional work for Dave.
Dave's obviously in the best position to assess whether or not it would create "too much" additional work to be worth it.
Having an interim release might take some of the pressure off of him if it can be done fairly easily. E.g. the interim release might allow him to take more time with the control center updates, which might be a relief for him. Sounds like that might be a lot of work.

I have to voice my support for the interim release again.
As a developer myself, there's no reason the feature set
couldn't be cut back a little bit just to get the release
out the door. It's been more than a year since the last
release, hasn't it? The world has changed a bit,
especially with regard to Insteon.
My $0.02, and certainly the way I do development
releases, is that what is released must be very high
quality (and always is around here!) but does not need to
include the kitchen sink in _every_ release.
Interim releases allow you to fix bugs sooner, find OUT
about bugs from the community, accomdoate easier
regression testing - and perhaps most importantly, allow
you to take 5 and relax a bit, instead of it hanging over
one's head!

I'd also vote for the interim release.

I will be doing an interim release without the Control Center enhancements. Hope to have something out before New Years.
Dave.
