ver 2.1.18
it did not fix this problem.
I have HTC evo 3d, on that when you slide your finger to bring curtain down on notification bar, you will see the previously use applications. That’s where if you tap PCHA, it will keep showing you the old popup and you are stuck. But if you go back to all Apps and run the PCHA again you are okay. This has never happen to older version 2.0.

On my SGS-II, I get the list of recent apps by long-pressing on the home button. I
hadn't ever tested my app by returning to it by using that because I don't use that
feature very often. Can you tell me step-by-step how you reproduce the error? Please try
to be as detailed as possible.
Or is it something that you think you could live with? I do want to resolve it if we
can. I want to put the app in the Android market pretty soon, and I would like to have
as many of the buggies worked out as possible.
Thanks in advance for you help!

I also found that if you try to delete the action by longpress on it and choosing the option delete you get message that unexpected error/phca has crashed , I have sent that to you by popup window.
now back to other problem.
1. You run PHCA from all apps.
2. Mainpage has action I have created called uptime.
<action colormap_color="gray" majorlabel="uptime" minorlabel="" url="" ss_body="ph_powerhomeuptime_s()" ss_requestType="FORMULA" return_type="dialog" net="ss" note="" update_varname="ph_uptime1" paramType="none" slider_min_val="0" slider_max_val="100" action_parameter_var_name="ph_uptime" dialog_prompt="" pin="false" dialog_title="uptime" />
3. If you press uptime it get the powerhome uptime and since we have return type is Dialog it popup the return .
4. Now press the home key of the phone
5. Like I said before, in HTC you can go back to previous application quickly by sliding the curtain down and choosing the application. At this point it will just show the last popup and no other function can be done. Press back arrow to exit.
6. Go to all apps and re-run the PHCA and it will take you to mainpage with all the option which is supposed to.
I can live with it, but the behavior you don't see with any other application and could be problem for someone else.

The file size is a lot smaller because I have removed some
unneeded classes and dependencies. I re-uploaded the apk
and tested it. All seems fine now.

By the way, Dave, thank you for making this mobile sub-forum :)

If you noticed that your sliders aren't working, then grab version 2.1.22.

End of the day update. The latest version is 2.1.23. You guys are doing a great job finding
all of the things I forgot. 11,263 lines of code and there are bound to be a few problems :)

I am currently having web site issues and C2DM is not working. No registration or
messages are working. Sorry for the inconvenience. I have a trouble call in with my
hosting company and I hope to have it resolved ASAP.
By the way, the latest version is 2.1.35 and can be downloaded from the link in my
signature below.

Yeah, I am having server issues today. I hope Dreamhost will get everything up and
running soon. In the meantime, I am working on porting this over to the Google app
engine, which I think will be more stable as an application server such as this.
Sorry for the inconvenience. :(

First off, huge thanks to Skip for developing this program.
I just made the switch to Android and am looking forward to
playing with this more.
I'm setting up some sliders to control insteon dimmers.
Earlier in this thread, it mentions a way to get the
current value of a device and I'm wondering if there is a
way to set the initial value of the slider to the current
value of a device. I.E. if it the light is dimmed to 50%
(or a value of 128 for the device), can the slider initial
value be set to 128 so it reflects the current state before
it is adjusted?

Hi, Strav. First off, you are welcome. Unfortunately for you, you hopped in while I am
still developing the app. What that means to you is that you will run into bugs. I am
working very hard to get this to a releasable state, and I desperately need help with
testing, so welcome to the team! I will absolutely need feedback from you as you setup and
install the app.
As for your question about the sliders, the short answer is "Yes". But I suspect that you
will want to know "How". Quite simple, actually. Make a variable in PHCA to hold the value
for the device. Assign that variable as the action parameter variable. Now whenever you
execute that action, the slider will be prepositioned at that variable's value. So, how do
you keep the value up-to-date when the light is adjusted outside of PHCA? Easy. Using C2DM
and PowerHome. Just set up a trigger that looks for changes in the light level. Send that
to the C2DM server and you are done.
I realize that I explained that with a lot of "big-ish" steps. I don't know what your
expertise is with PowerHome, so if you need help with any (or all) of this, just let us
know. There are some instructions on my website which should also help.

As of Jun 26th, the C2DM service is being phased out for Android. It is being
replaced with a more robust system called Google Cloud Messaging (GCM). I will
absolutely be porting PHCA over to take advantage of the new features. Ideally
there should be no interruption in service, but as you know, I am a pretty lousy
coder, so inevitably there will be issues once I release the first version. Or the
second. Or the twelth.
If you want to read about the new features of GCM, you can read this page:
http://developer.android.com/guide/google/gcm/index.html
Help me think of some interesting ways to take advantage of the new features.

Skip,
No worries. Sometimes it's better to get involved while
an application is still under active development. :)
So, I'm working my way through your explanation. I've
set up C2DM (though I see that will change soon too) and
verified it is working from the browser. Do you have an
example of the trigger in to send the updated value to
PHCA? Since it's a dimmer switch, does that end up
sending a bunch of messages if someone manually adjusts
the brightness?
Thanks!
