Hi all,
So I'm now totally using Shelly devices to control my house. Using these devices I can directly "talk" to the devices with http
commands from PH. I have Shelly bulbs for smart lighting, but they are white only. Shelly sells RGB bulbs but not in the US. So,
I'm looking to experiment with RGB bulbs. I have tried to use a KASA bulb but they don't have a (documented) direct WiFi interface,
and I'm too lazy to reverse engineer their protocol. For KASA you have to use their internet server and I'm not going to use on-
line things like that.
I have seen that a couple guys have a Github page for controlling a KASA bulb, but it involves programming that's way above my pay
grade.
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully used an RGB bulb directly with PH without using a external internet server like the
manufacturer or Google or Amazon things like that. I'd be OK if I have to use a local hub type device but I'd prefer to go directly
to the device.
I'd love to hear anyone's experience with RGB bulbs.
Thanks.
