Please consider adding a column to the X10 Types table for "forced" dimming, and using this in the processing of absolute level commands for older X10 devices that have local dimming capability (at the switch), but lack pre-set dim and status reporting capability. The resulting processing, in the example of an "ADIM+20" command, would be to send an explicit "off", then an "on", then the specific 20% dim level.

While causing some erratic-looking lighting behavior, this functionality would actually result in more reliable control for devices whose exact state can't be known.
