I recently purchased the Pan & Tilt software package from X10. It includes a CM19A transceiver. I called tech support and the tech verified that this device does as the name implies: transmits and receives X10 signals. Since it comes with a USB connector, it's exactly what I need to interface with PowerHome (sine I only have one serial port which is used by the CM11A). The only problem though is that PowerHome doesn't communicate with the CM19A.

Could you add this to the X10 controllers in PowerHome?

Hollis,

I know we've discussed this via Email but am just updating anyone else that might be reading the board.

The CM19A is a new two-way RF transceiver which is used primarily to control the new Ninja pan and tilt controller offered by X-10. It looks just like the MR26A mouse remote but has a USB interface instead of a serial interface. X-10 is not currently publishing the protocol for this interface at this time. When such protocol does become available, support for the CM19A will be added to PowerHome.

It should also be noted that the CM19A interface IS NOT included with the Ninja pan and tilt kit. Instead, a new hand-held remote similar to palm pad is used to control the Ninja. The CM19A is instead included with the Pan and Tilt software package which enables control over the Ninja via the web.

Dave.

One thing I did note is that the CM19A works with the FireCracker software. So the transmitter portion apparently works identical (or very similar) to the CM17A (firecracker) except over the USB port instead of the serial port.
