I just discovered that Descriptions, like ID's, cannot contain certain characters! I don't recall seeing this in the manual.
The problem this caused was that I had buttons that would not display in the Control Center.

Tony,
Hmmm...thinking about this one, I dont believe I put restrictions on the Description field...but my guess is that the only character that could cause the behavior you describe would be the single quote...Am I right? I'll either put a restriction so it cant be used or come up with a way that will not cause a problem.
