No need to add Access Points to Powerhome. They cannot be configured or controlled so there is nothing for PH to do with an AP.

Follow the instructions in the Access Point Quick Start Guide. There is a Set button sequence described in the Quick Start guide that when followed will insure that the APs are installed on opposite 120V legs. The LED response, both color and blinking indicate if properly installed. This is an important activity when plugging in Access Points. They will always send/receive RF signals regardless of where they are plugged in but must be on opposite 120V legs to accomplish the coupling.

ok, thanks. I got carried away thinking everything should be defined in PH. But the stuff that gets defined in PH should have a reason for being there, and these do not. They are base infrastructure which PH does not care about - right?

You are absolutely correct. Even the Set button procedure described in the Quick Start guide is not doing any configuration of the Access Points. Simply a procedure that with LED responses shows whether they are receiving power from different 120V legs (phases).   The process of seeing a powerline message and transmitting it on RF and receiving an RF signal and repeating the message on the powerline is all automatic with no configuration. Simply plug them in and they are off and running doing their powerline to RF to powerline conversion.
