I have a new IOLinc (2450) that I am trying to set up.
Powerhome recognized it perfectly and has it as a type 2450 - I/O Linc. I am running v2.1.5c.
When the IOLinc senses a break in the PhotoBeam I have it hooked up to, the sense light goes green, so we are good there. But - nothing comes back to Powerhome. Nothing in the event log, etc.
I think the issue is I cannot get any device or the PLM to become a responder. On "Links", for the IOLinc device, I drag the PLM to the responder window it shows the clipboard, asks to save changes, but nothing shows. The responder window remains empty. Same for any other device I tried. The controller window does have the PLM.
Any ideas/thoughts?
As usual, thanks in advance for the help.

Richard,
You are correct. The problem with getting info back to
PowerHome for the sensor is that the PLM has not been
added as a responder.
However, you're having an issue where you cant add the
PLM as a responder in the Links tab. Based upon the
behavior you describe, check the "Types" tab for your
2450 - I/O Linc device type and make sure that the
"Resp Groups" column is set to 1. It sounds its set to
0 which will keep you from creating any responder
links. The "Ctlr Groups" should also be set to 1.
After making and saving this change, close and reopen
the Insteon Explorer and you'll be able to add the PLM
as a responder.
After doing this and insuring that you're now getting
incoming messages, you'll want to create a new device
type in the Analog I/O table for the photobeam sensor
so you can get realtime device status and create
triggers off of this rather than trying to manually
interpret the Insteon commands yourself.
Hope this helps,
Dave.

Dave,
That was it! The Resp Groups was a 1, but Ctrl Groups was a 0. Changing that to a 1 allowed me to add in the PLM as a responder. I still have to play with the Analog I/O table.
I will keep everyone posted as to progress with the PhotoBeam signal and trigger responses.
Your software and support are fantastic!
Thank you.
Richard
