Just one question: what would it take for powerhome to be Bluetooth 4.0 capable?

Ok, I've been waiting to see if anyone answers this, but since nothing going on, thought I'd satisfy my own curiosity by asking the question I'm sure everyone is asking in their head, namely what *part* of the system would you want to have use BlueTooth 4.0 and for what?

you've got these small gadgets nowadays like bluetooth tags, tempeature gauges etc. These things communicate over bt4.0... would be nice to have PH understand these gadgets.

 | I have a BT4.0 stick in my server and win2k8server understands e.g. a bluetooth tag and can lock the server. But that is not what I want.

e.g. If I carry a BT-Tag with me, then PH knows I am home, when leaving the house, it can do various tasks like arming the burglar alarm .. things like that

Have you ever checked out IFFFT? I don't know if it fully solves the

 | problem you're looking to handle, but it does a lot of what you mention
above. I haven't done much with it yet other than with my HUE lights
chenging color with the weather, but it definitely has recipes for locale-
based actions. I would think a message or something could be sent to
PowerHome from their framework, but haven't fully explored the
possibility yet since I'm working on another aspect of my system at the
moment which is taking a lot of focus.

Check it out at this URL if interested:
