Somewhere in the recent upgrades, it came to be that, on my Android phone, I can no longer pinch to zoom out on the WEB access to the CC screens. Since my CC screens are bigger than my Android screen, I have to pan around to see everything. Until now, that was almost ok.

I recently added a screen to my CC that is a floor plan design with icons showing the status of devices, and allowing me to turn things on/off if I touch (click) them. Now, it has become an inconvenience that I have to pan around to see the entire floor plan. Also, (of course) sometimes when I pan around, I inadvertently turn something on/off.

I'm wondering if it's possible to "go back" so that I don't have to pan around the CC screens on my Android anymore.

I have attached a FAKE CC floorplan view to show what it might look like (if this was my floorplan, which it is not.)

This should have been corrected in version 2.1.5c (it
changed in 2.1.5b) which I know you're already on.

Can you tell me which version of Android (really
shouldnt matter) and which browser and version (does
matter) you're using so I can try and run some tests?

I'll also review the code to see if I missed
something. To get a better understanding of what you'd
like to see, when first viewing a CC screen, it opens
at original size (requires panning). You should then
be able to pinch to zoom out so that the entire CC
screen is now visible. Is that correct?

 Thanks,

 Dave.

Yes, opening at full size, then pinching to zoom out would be fine.

I'm running android 4.4 on Samsung Note-4 with Firefox browser ver 35. I did try the built in browser on the phone. Same effect.

Interestingly, it DOES zoom out at the main menu, and all those items, but when going to the CC, it seems to stop working.

 I've noticed something....

When I access my new floor plan page from the remote CC, it seems to have lower resolution than when I access it from the WEB (local or remote). Refer to these images:

 Remote CC clip:

 WEB clip:

 Any thoughts?

I was unable to reproduce the problem. On my Android
4.2.1 with Chrome, Boat, Firefox, and the stock
browser I was able to zoom in and out without issue.

What Ive gone ahead and done though is moved the meta
tag definitions to the pwrhome.ini file so the user
can declare the meta tags for the main and other
screens, the CC screen, and the CC Map screen. Im
hoping this will work to everyones advantage as
they'll be able to declare the exact settings that are
 most compatible for them.

Concerning the differences above, that is odd.
However, I suspect that the graphic rendering engine
of the datawindow component (the PowerBuilder
component that is rendering the Control Center) is
probably not on par with the rendering engine in the
browser. Im thinking that the graphic is scaled and
probably not presented at its original size. It also
could make a difference depending upon the graphic
format. In my most recent work, Ive discovered a bug
with rendering PNG files when the graphic is scaled.
Unfortunately, I won't have any control over this and
will be at the mercy of SAP to resolve this type of
 issue.

Can you tell me what format your graphic is in and if
its been scaled up or down?

 Thanks,

 Dave.

Thank you for researching the Android screen sizing issue. Seems odd that you can not see the effect. Moving the meta tags to the ini file might be the best solution overall. I agree with that decision.

As to the graphic issue; after hearing your thoughts, I tried to resize the graphic in my graphic program and using it "full size" (unresized) in the CC. That solved the issue. The graphic looks fine, so I guess the lesson learned is to be more careful about resizing the graphics. My graphic is a jpg, and it was scaled a little; maybe 15%. So, again, I'd agree that the rendering engine may not be as good a browser.

 Thank you.
