A couple months ago I installed some new Insteon
switches. At the time I also installed HomeLinc to try
and program a few of the new devices (and features) that
PowerHome doesn't *yet* support. Since then I've had a
strange reduction in the reliability of my network.
Things that have been working at 99.99 percent are
suddenly not working as well (like it's 90% now). Most
notably it's KPLs not staying in sync with switches, and
KPLs blinking after a scene button was pressed (which I
know is often extra communication).
This prompted me to start running "reverify" on some of
them....what I found is quite a few "LINK NOT FOUND" on
links that have been there for ages (and in most cases
still work most of the time) and a few with "ID NOT
FOUND" (and every Insteon device in my house is in the PH
database). I've been removing the "ID NOT FOUND" ones,
and for the others I've been removing them, saving, and
then re-adding them. For what it's worth, on the few
that I have cleaned up it seems that they are back to
99.99%.
Is there a better way? If I do a rebuild, do I need to
worry about it doubling up on links or is that
impossible?
What I'd love if to somehow have PH review all the links
and then recreate any that are missing.
