Does anyone know how to recreate groups now that the Wizards in the beta are disabled?

TIA

Please expand on what you want to create. Are you referring to PLC/PLM Groups, Insteon Groups of devices linked together, Groups in the context of devices linked to PH2 PLM to drive events, or something else. Groups is a term used in so many different ways really need to know the detail of the context..

Hey Lee, sorry for the confusion. I am talking about a group in the context of devices that are linked to drive timed events.

I have 4 groups that I have previously created before the upgrade they are no longer grouped and I would like to fix it.

A Timed Event is being triggered as it should but is not controlling the Group of devices that should be?

Define a PLC/PLM Groups entry for the Group being used in the Timed Event.

Using the Links tab select the PLM as the current device. In the Responders (to current device) section add the devices for that Group, using the PLC/PLM Group number previously defined. Click Save which should cause the link definitions to be added to the Pending Queue.

That is correct. Some how I lost all of my groupings so now when the timed events go off none of the lights are controlled.

In the PLC/PLM Groups I do have all 4 groups defined. The problem that I am having is that when I try to group the lights in the link tab it will not allow me to set the group to anything higher than 1 and button always has to be zero. I do have one switch that is controlling 3 lights and I am lost on how to retain all my 3 way links for my hallway and kitchen and get it in to the group.

If the Blue Group number column of the Responders (of Current Device) section will not allow higher Group numbers it sounds like the Device Type assigned to the PLM is not correct.

Go to the Devices tab, what is the device type shown for the PLM device.

The Green Button number column of the Responders (of Current Device) would normally be set to 1 for most Responders. A KPL Responder would be an exception where Button numbers 1-8 should be valid.

Sorry for any slow turn around to new posts. The forum is taking 3-4 days to send an email that a new post has been made to the topic. Also the forum will not accept image files so I cannot post a picture of what the Links tab entries for the PLM should look like.

Hey Lee, I was able to get change the PLM device type and remove the responders then re-add them and change the group number. Here are the groups, timed events and devices that I have defined (all three jpgs are on dropbox): Photos

When I execute my timed event for ALLOFF [INSTEONGROUP+ALL+OFF] none of the lights respond.

Question 1: Can you tell me why none of the groups reply to the global off?

Question 2: Is it possible to have lights be part of two groups or are they limited to one group?

Question 3: In the device JPG I have listed in the link I have a KPL and I have tried everything and can not control it. What I have done is two-way linked the two kitchen lights to each other and bound to switch 2 of the 6 switches (Number 1 switch is hardcoded to a light and is switch 1 I believe). How do I get this guy to respond?

TIA
Dave

The Kitchen Counter (Stove) and Kitchen Counter (Wine)are shown as XXXX-New Insteon Device Type which means PH does not know the characteristics of the device. If either of these are KeypadLincs PH will not know what is or is not valid for a KPL.

Insteon supports a given device as a Responder in many Scenes. A given device button/paddle can be a Controller in only one Scene but can be a Responder in many Scenes.

I am not familiar with the Device Control Event type.   I’ll have to do some research before I can comment on the Timed Event.
