First, lest this sound critical, let me say I LOVE PH and
have been using it for > 5 years. I wouldn't even
consider my Insteon installation without it.
That said, will PowerHome ever be able to control some of
the local settings that it appears HouseLinc can control?
For example I'd love to be able to set the LED brightness
from PowerHome. That's possibly the last missing link
(or is that linc?) for me. I find that setting the LED
brightness on KPLs and SLs to be finicky and very
annoying (but also critical in bedrooms so as to not make
the KPL a bright nightlight.)
I'm currently harboring the fantasy that the switch over
to I2CS is what's going to make this happen. Am I right
to hope that might be the case?

Travis,
Definitely not too critical . The plan is to definitely add this functionality where PH will be able to read/modify the extended functions of the available devices such as LED brightness, beep, IOLinc configuration, etc. Some of this will be available with the 2.1.5 release. It is independent of I2CS however and unrelated (unless you're specifically dealing with an I2CS device). It is primarily dependent upon whether the device supports extended (I2) commands or not. Older switchlincs, kpl's, etc do not support these commands and we'll never be able to modify certain settings within them.
Dave.

That's awesome news.
I can't wait for 2.1.5!
