I do something similar to read my station output files. But instead of triggering every minute, I use Dave's file monitor plug-in which fires an event everytime the file is updates (ok, still once a minute, but it feels "cleaner")

I really like the idea of triggering on a file change. Yes it is cleaner but it also avoids certain problems with using a timed event.

The other day I stopped Powerhome for over an hour to change my UPS. I then made the mistake of saying "yes" to execute past due events. Powerhome went ahead and queued over 60 timed events to execute my read VMS macro. I couldn't figure out why my machine was so busy until I caught on.

The other advantage is that the read VWS macro is automatically synchronized with the frequency of the cvs file update as set in the virtual weather station settings. I don't have to change the settings in two places.
