The default PH webpage (Main /Device List) no longer refreshes itself after turning a device on or off. Hangs in Firefox and IE gives a page not found after a button press.
The Control Center works fine. I can press a button and the screen doesn't disappear.
Maybe it was the latest Windows update?
Anyone else have this problem?

I'm not seeing that, but I have not yet restarted since the updates.

Manny,

Im not seeing this either (I havent done any Windows updates though). I cant imagine that it would affect Firefox though.

Is it possible that a trigger is being fired that is set as "immediate" and possibly causing a hang? When the webpage is returned as "page not found", does the PowerHome client continue to run and perform actions as normal?

Is there anyway to recover once this happens such as a "refresh"?

Let me know so I can try to track this down if it's a bug with PowerHome.

Thanks,

Dave.

99% sure it's just me or my machine, then. The Windows update could be a coincidence. When I get home I'll reboot the PH machine and see if the problem goes away.
(Should have tried that before posting, Doh!)

A refresh doesn't work , yet re-entering the web address does (weird).

(I just have that security fix they did a while back in the back of my mind where Windows stopped letting you enter username and password in the address bar.)Please correct me if I'm wrong on this too.

I doubt it's an immediate/queued trigger issue as I don't recall changing that. But who knows. Apparantly Beer and PH Explorer isn't the best combination for me.

I VNC'd my PC and a simple reboot did not fix the problem.
IE just gives http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8000/ph-cgi/ in the address bar with "The page cannot be found" message in the browser.

PH application itself works fine. But webcenter within PH has the same problem
???

Definately wierd.

Do you think you could post or email me the HTML from your Device Status web page? I might be able to spot something in the HTML.

Dave.

I guess I shouldn't leave Main Page empty.

I put it back (/ph-cgi/main) just now after deleting it last night, as I just wanted control center tabs. I had Menu Page field filled, but left Main Page empty.

Sorry for wasting your time with this.

Manny,

No problem...yes, Main Page should not be blank.

Let me know exactly how you're wanting the Web client to look and I might be able to come up with a way to do it or perhaps make a small code change so you'll be able to.

Dave.

Thanks for your patience.

As I'm still experimenting/exploring all the options...so I can't answer that yet.

So far I like the ease of creating the control panel (custom backgrounds/ transparent buttons)but I also like the status notifications of the default main page.

I did see the threads regarding 1,2,3 flags and html/frame tricks. Hopefully a Wizard in the future can prevent one like me from spending hours on 1 button.
