Here's another idea I had - How about setting up the simulated PalmPad in PH so the label fields can be specified by the user? One way this could be done would be to create a series of SQL tables (that could be edited in the PH Explorer), one table (containing 16 rows each) for each possible controller/housecode combination. The tables themselves would only have two fields - A unit code/ordering field and the associated text to place in the relevant label field on the sumlated Palm Pad. As one changed the controller, housecode or unit code switch, the labels would change to reflect the new selections. If this is too slow/sluggish or you cannot trigger an internal event on the change of the controller/hc/uc spinners, perhaps add a small 'refresh' button to refresh the labels "manually" after the user makes a controller/housecode/unitcode change.
In essence, what I'm asking for here is a way to add labels to the PP like the hand-made ones I make for my own 'real' PP remotes.
One other way to implement the DB would be to structure it similar to the way the existing X10 device database is structured - users would create (with PH's assistance) their own tables, one for each controller/housecode combo.
Whatever method is easiest or makes the most sense, I guess it does not matter.
This is not a burning issue with me, just thought I'd suggest it - "food for thought" for future versions. Unless, of course, I missed something and the functionality I am requesting already exists?
