When I start PH I get a windows dialog box error:

An error occurred while creating the script server: -2

                                   OK

How do I fix it (already tried re-install)

Bob

Bob,

Did you recently upgrade to version 1.02.1 or were you already at 1.02.1 working properly and then the problem popped up?  Could you give me a little more info on what preceeded the problem.

It should be easy enough to fix however.  This message would only appear in version 1.02.1 and is associated with the new Windows Script Host script server.  First, verify that the file phscr.pbd is in your PowerHome directory.  If that file is there, then the install program may not have properly updated the registry.  If you installed PowerHome to the default directory of "C:\Program Files\PowerHome", then you can merge the registgry file download/phscr.reg.  If you installed to a different directory, then download the file and edit it in notepad.  Change the next to the last entries directory to match the directory you installed to.  If you don't know how to merge a file into your directory, just download the file to your hard drive, locate the file using Windows Explorer and right click the file.  You will get a pop-up menu and one of the option will be "Merge".

Let me know how this goes.

Dave.

Bob,

Thats great.  You're the only one to report this problem so far so Im not sure why your registry didn't get updated.

Hopefully it was just a fluke.

Dave.
