Hi Everyone,

I've been reading the forums for a while, and decided it was finally time to post a question

Is there a way to set the X10 address for an Insteon SwitchLinc with PowerHome? I've been trying to set it using an X10 Mini Timer and following the instructions that came with the SwtichLinc, but haven't had any luck.

Thanks,

Matt

Yes you can. If you look on the Devices screen, and scroll over, there is a column for X10 address. I'm NOT sure, but I think after you put it in and save it, and make sure it gets to the switchlinc, you need to pull the airgap on the switchlinc for a few seconds to kill power to it then pop it back in (don't hold it in, or you'll do a factory reset). I don't use X10 addresses, so I'm not sure of the exact steps.

I checked out the Devices screen. I see that you can set the "Desired X10 Address", but that doesn't really seem to do anything. The light still doesn't respond to the x10 commands, and the "X10 Address" column is never set.

after you did the Desired X10 address, you saved the changes.
on the top of the insteon explorer window, make sure you put a checkmark in WRITE X10 address (it's off by default) I would also, so you can verify, make sure READ X10 Address is also checked.

Hope this helps!
