I have read that I need to cross link devices to the PLC for it to update status or be able to trigger off switch presses. How exactly do i link them?

Is it just add all the switches as controllers to the PLC? I have done this and appear to have sparratic results. I have been having signal issues but that appears to be cleared up now (added signallinc's, no more nak's)

Allan,

Yep, that's basically it. The easiest way is to go to the "Links" tab, highlight the PLC in the "Devices" window and then click on the header in the far right window to select ALL the Insteon devices. Hold down the "Ctrl" key and then click on the PLC row in the right hand window to deselect it. Click on the left facing arrow at the top of the right-hand window to add all selected devices as controllers of the PLC. Fill in any group columns that are blank. Keep in mind for ControLincs and KeypadLincs, you'll have to add them multiple times...once for each group or button on the device (6 or 8 times for KPL's and 5 times for CL's). Press "Save" and let PowerHome build the links.

If after doing the above you still are having problems, then you may still be having communication issues. Go to the "Reports" tab and select the "Overall COMM" report and press the "Refresh" button. Look for any red bars and long green bars. See if the sporadic switches correlate with any of these problem signs.

Let me know,

Dave.
