Hi Folks, Newbie here...

The Device Status Screen doesnt work for me. What am I doing wrong? Just down loaded the trial version 1.03.4.12. Followed the quick start guide. Can not turn the Insteon unit on/off from the Device Status Screen. It works from Insteon Explorer. Tried a X10 device and it too will not turn on/off from the Device Status Screen. I know I am doing something wrong because I searched thru the forum for anything related and found nothing. Thanks Jack

When you turn a device on from the Insteon Explorer Screen does it show being on in the Device Status Screen? In the past when I’ve had this problem it was caused by SDM. Check and see if there is more than 1 running. If so end one of them.

Yes. If I turn the device on/off via Insteon Explorer, the correct status (on or off) displays on the device status screen. Only one copy of the SDM is running, 1.01.138.308.

Fixed. The Controller column in the unit setup was blank. The Quick Start Guide, 1.03.4.11 r4 or r5, doesn't tell you to fill that column in.

Jack,

Glad to see it's working now. I'll make a note and get that updated in the QuickStart guide.

Thanks,

Dave.
