I can only seem to get an Insteon light to come on with the Fast On macro command. The ON command does nothing. I am also not grasping the start/stop manual change command to dim. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?
Thanks!

Fetzer,
The Insteon On macro command requires a level in the "Send Keys / Formula" field. This is a value from 0 to 255 with 0 being off and 255 being full on. The Insteon "On" command is really a "direct to level" command. The Fast On command just jumps instantly to level 255.
The "Start Manual Change" will start dimming or brightening the specified light or group at a predetermined rate (hard-coded into the Insteon switch). The dim/bright will continue until a "Stop Manual Change" command is issued. The "Start Manual Change" command also takes a parameter in the "Send Keys / Formula" field. This is either a 1 for brighten or 0 for dim.
To demonstrate this technique, create a new macro and make Line 10 an Insteon Start Manual Change and use a 0 to dim. Make Line 20 a Wait 2. Make Line 30 a Stop Manual Change. Start with the light full on and then run the macro.
Im not too sure how useful the Start/Stop manual change commands are in real use (from an automation standpoint...mind you these are the commands that are sent when you press and hold a button manually) but they're part of the Insteon protocol so I made them available.
Hope this helps,
Dave.
