Earlier today I bought PowerHome for $39.95 - I received and applied my Registration Code - no problem. This is on my Windows95 PC

A few hours later I bought a new PC (PowerHome just too slow on the Win95 one)

So now I'm setting up my new PC. I installed PowerHome again, and went straight to key the Registration Key in again - but this time I get the error message "You have entered an invalid registration key. Please check the key and try again"

THE KEY I AM ENTERING IS CORRECT - I AM CUTTING AND PASTING IT DIRECT FROM THE EMAIL (from RegSoft)

What's going on? Please help! - I need PowerHome running on my new PC

Thanks

Ron,

When you register PowerHome, the registration info is contained within the database.  Hopefully you made a backup after you registered because if you need to reinstall PowerHome, you just need to copy the backed up database over the newly installed one and all is well.  If you didn't make a backup, just email me the new registration number from your new install and I'll email you the unlock key for it.

The registration number is based upon the registration name you enter along with some random numbers so every registration number is unique.  The unlock key is tied to the unique reg number which is why it is failing on your new install.  If you were to compare the reg number on your new install with the reg number on your old install, you will see that they are different even if you entered the same reg name.

Anyways, to make a long story short...just copy the database file (c:\program files\powerhome\pwrhome.db) from your old install to your new install.  If you don't have your old database file, just email me your new reg number and I'll send you the appropriate unlock key.

Hope this clears things up ,

Dave.

Dave

Thanks - that sorted it!

I get an error message (error number 39) - error accessing external object property portopenat line 38 in function f_controllerconnect of object uo_controller_cm11a, but I am 99.9% sure the reason for this is that I have not yet plugged my CM11a controller into the new PC yet!

So all seems well

Thanks for your help

Ron

Ron,

That is most likely the case...however, let me know if it still gives you problems.

Dave.
