I was working on an RFID solution for entry into my house, some electronics together with PH
but Last week there was a violent thunderstorm and lightnming struck directly in my house. My HA-server, a HA-backup, a Proxy/Webserver and my mediaserver. Not only all my servers but Audio/Video, fridge and freezer... are all toast, my mailserver was spared. It will take some time to recover this desaster.

Dave: Can you resend me my register-data?

Peter

Hey guys: Up and running again:

The HA-server was toast and the HD also but only the elektronics... So I looked in my storagebox for the same HD (I knew I had one that was the same but had a Head-Crash) so I performed surgery on the HD and transplanted the electronics... It worked and was able to read the HD and get the database, the WEB-directory and the ini-file...

PH is now running under Windows Fundamentals with:

1) PIII-1gHz,256mB, 20gB
2) Bluetooth
3) Winfax-pro running on background with faxmodem
4) 2 serial ports, 1 parallelport, USB2.0 and 1.1

There is much to be done:

1) e-mail and MAPI have to be installed
2) PH-webpages have to be adapted to the new machine..

So guys: I AM BACK!!!

well, I saw 2 years of work 'going up in a flash of light' and I was desperate.. Now powerhome copies the ini file and the web-directory and the database to a Samba server every night at midnight...

To be called a GEEK SUGEON is better then to be called an 'insurgeon'
