Ok _ so they just announced
http://www.smarthome.com/2420m.html
Maybe dumb questions - Will I have to upgrade my PH to get access to this device? Does it just "work" or does Dave have to do some coding? (hope he doesn't). Also - is there a different paradigm for handling devices that are through the Access Point?
Just curious - I really want one of these so I can tear down my PR-511, convert everything on that branch to insteon, and take my last X-10 device off-line 8-}
/thanks

I want a couple too so I can get rid of the last of my X-10 stuff. If it works like the Remotelinc, PH should handle it no problem. But let's wait for the definitive answer from Dave.

not sure anyone really answered my qn.
I pre-ordered the Motion Sensor but if it won't work with PH (i.e., I won't receive hand-shook events from it), I should cancel the order...
thanks!

Jeff,
I don't have too many details on the Insteon motion sensor, but it should be very similar to the RemoteLinc. I'll go out on a limb here and say it'll work with PH with no changes necessary.
In the slight chance that it doesnt, I'll definately make it .
Dave.

Thanks Dave -
I just ordered one too. It will really help solve an issue I have with my EZIO8T garage door open/close sensor that turns the garage light off when I come in. That action is what I want when I leave, but NOT when I return. I'm hoping to figure out a macro that will override the light off command from the 8T if I'm in the garage.
