This is a duplicate of a post I made over on Cocoontech.
I hope that Dave Howard will read it an possibly comment on the use of the PLM as an Elk controller and possible fix.

I installed the new 50.1.2 MI-xsp firmware for Insteon PLM support and have run into a couple of Possible bugs.
First I have always used the Elkinstien or Powerhome device loader app to load Insteon addresses into the m1sxp.

I discovered that the only way to do this is to leave the jumper #7 in PLC mode(up or( 1) and then I can load the Insteon device address. I then can set the jumper #7 to down or (0) and the Elk controller will recognize and operate the devices with one particular problem.

The second issue is that I can no longer use the rule turn on an Insteon device for x number of minutes such as
Whenever A1 is on (x10 motion sensor)
Then Turn on device A006 (porch lite) on for 1 minute.

The above rule will work for any x10 devices but not when an Insteon device is used. This applies only when I use the M1-xsp with a PLM. If I reset the jumper on the XSP for Plc and re-install the Plc everything works as it should.
I can only conclude that some how that perhaps this function is tied to the timer app that is required for the Plc and not the PLM? Non the less I did find a work around by using counters instead of the on for x(time) rule.

I also have noticed that I seem to be getting random light activations with the PLm that never occurred with the PLc. So for now I have reverted back to using the PLc and hope that Elk will look into this and confirm that this is a bug and will fix it with a patch.

Elk has posted a new firmware update for the M1-XSP firmware for Insteon. The new version 50.1.4 fixes the timer issues I had using the Elk controller.
They also say something about a new update for the Elkinsteon.exe updater. Is there a new version of this that allows you to push the Insteon devices to the M1-XSP using the 2412S PLM and or an update to the PH ver2.? that includes this.
