In my X10 system there are 3 ways to run most devices:

1. Using an RF controller like an x10 keyfob
2. Pressing the on/off button on the Device Status page
3. Pressing the on/off button in the control center

With 3 places to control the device it is easy to get the control center out of sync.

Does anyone have an example of how to keep everything consistent no matter which User Interface is used to control the device?

What triggers are needed if a macro needs to be called for any on/off event for the device regardless of which controller is used?

My impression at the moment is you need at least 4 triggers to capture all possible on/off events. Two to capture on / off inputs for when the RF controller is used. Two to capture on / off outputs for when the Device status page and control center are used.

It would be great if someone could share best practices or standard templates they have developed for handling this.
Thanks, Jay
