So I was having a lot of problems with PH crashing and my PLM freezing. Never could figure out why, but it would happen about once every 2 or 3 days. I tried different computers and even a different program. Finally found the fix. Plugging the PLM into a powered USB hub instead of directly into the computer fixed it. Not sure how its any different but PH has been running for 8 days now.

That’s real interesting. I have mine also plugged into a powered USB because my PLM is serial and I have a USB to Serial connector.   But I thought a system board USB was powered as mine charges batteries on my Ipod. I had all kinds of strange problems when my USB on one of my laptops became flakey and I was using a PLC.

I replaced my PLC because it stopped working. I am going to have to go try it with the USB hub and see if it works.

USB is powered.
