Hi, I am a new powerhome user, converting from x10 to insteon devices.    Where do I find the api/syntax for the macro language? I see there was an archive, but its closed and there is nothing in it. I can see that there is a sample db with stuff in it and I could use that if I had to. (F7 in explorer etc.), the functions in various help places etc. However what I don't see or have not found yet, is an api which lets me know the syntax rules for program flow within the macros.

I want to code a lot of things. I am a programmer by trade but I would rather not re-invent the wheel. Where is the quick start on the language with samples????

Use the Powerhome Explorer to define Macros. You can export a macro, modify it, and bring it back in but that format is not very intuitive.

“I am a programmer by trade but I would rather not re-invent the wheel”.

But from my experience you will have to reinvent the wheel from the extent you will have to learn the syntax. Your programming skills will prevail and the learning curve will be experientially fast. Trust me it will not take you long and the rewards will be great. To answer your basic question, you will find the forum to be your greatest asset.
