I have a keypadlinc configured for six buttons. Button 5
controls a togglelinc relay for one set of my deck lights.
I have the keypadlinc and the togglelinc cross linked and
working fine. I can turn off the deck light from either
switch and PH sees the status change just fine as does the
keypadlinc. I can also turn the deck lights off from PH
just fine. However, the keypadlinc, (button 5) doesn't
change status when I turn the lights off from PH.
From the Insteon Explorer in PH, the keypadlinc and the plm
each show up as both a responder and a controller for the
deck lights. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for
your help.

The ToggleLinc linked as a Controller with KPL button 5 as a Responder has no affect when you send an Off command from PH to the ToggleLinc. Insteon architecture does NOT propagate the Off command to the ToggleLinc as a Responder such that the ToggleLinc then becomes a Controller and it's Responder(s) turn Off. For PH to turn off multiple Responders (ToggleLinc and KPL button 5) you have to create a Scene where the ToggleLinc and KPL button 5 are Responders. Then turn the Scene On or Off.

Sorry, yes. A Scene is a Group. As far as Insteon architecture is concerned there are only Groups. You will not find the term Scene used in the Insteon Command reference. Smarthome uses the term Scene in much of the end user level literature which is really referring to a Group. On the various forums you will find the term Scene and Group used pretty much interchangeably.
