Anyone have any ideas to make some cool Halloween lighting ideas? Automated of course
:) One idea I had was to write a program to flash my lights intermittently. Maybe not
all of them, but a room close to the front door so the kids could notice them. I wrote
a macro to turn my study lamp on and off, but it wasn't as fast as I was hoping (just
Fast On followed by fast off). Is there a way to flash the lights faster?

Anyone have any other Halloween ideas in general?

There is a fee based Light Show Master. Don't know if it is still on the market.

Using an Insteon Direct command always has to wait for an ACK from the device before going to the next command. You can try ph_insteongroup() with 2000 added to the command number. Refer to the Help for the function for a discussion of the 2000 value. This suppresses the Group Cleanup Direct leaving only the Group Broadcast message which does not have an ACK associated with it. May improve the response time.

I don’t like X10 but it has no ACK for anything.   Assigning an X10 address to the Insteon device and controlling it with X10 On and Off may also improve response time due to the lack of ACK with X10.
