For some reason, after updating to 2.1.4 when I access the Web Center on the PC where PowerHome is running, even though the drop down controls seem active, trying to turn something one, off, etc. doesn't do anything, i.e. when I click the drop down, scroll down and click on nothing happens and the drop down stays open as if I haven't yet selected anything.
Is there something I need to do or is this the way it should work?
When accessed remotely via the web, all works like it should.
Derek

Do the drop down controls work from the web center main screen when Web Center is accessed from the PC that PowerHome is running on (Control/Web Center) for anyone?
Mine does not!
This PC has IE 9 on it also if that matter.
Anyone?
Thanks
Derek

Derek,
I can confirm that this is a bug. Windows XP with IE 7. Seems to be a problem with the Internet Explorer activex control and dropdown boxes.
I've added it to the bug list and will see what I can do to get it fixed.
In the meantime, you can still access the 2.1b version of the main screen by appending a layout=3 to URL like this: http://127.0.0.1:8000/ph-cgi/main?layout=3
The default is layout=0 (if you don't specify). You can also try values of 1 and 2 for previous (prior to 2.1b) versions of the Device Status screen.
Hope this helps,
Dave.

Hi Dave,
I'm glad to know that I didn't screw something up, which was my main concern. It isn't a major issue and I'll try calling up the alternate layouts.
Thanks
Derek

Derek,
No problem. Ive been running tests and it appears to be some type of bug with the Microsoft WebBrowser control. Ive been bringing up multiple different sites (things that I didnt right in case I was doing something wrong) and none of the standard HTML <select> elements actually select. Even in the other layouts where the Macro dropdown and the Location dropdown appear don't work...its not just the Device control dropdown. What I did find out though is that using the keyboard DOES work. Click on the dropdown, use the up/down arrows keys to highlight and then the enter key to select...bam, it works. Its the left click event in that one form element that doesnt work. Will have to play some more though to try to isolate it further.
Dave.

Dave,
Yep. When using the arrow keys and enter everything works.
Thanks
