Hi all.

I am a very beginner level user of the program. Recently, I switched computers and wanted to transfer Powerhome to my new system. As per instructions on the website, I took my V 1.022 pwrhome.ini and pwrhome.db files from my old system and replaced the new install versions. I then ran phupg.exe and successfully upgraded my databases.

Now when I try to launch Powerhome I get a "Configuration for Adaptive Server..." screen asking me for databases, etc. What settings do I need to put in here to get the program working?

Sorry, this is probably a stupid question for you power users, but I am stumped and need help fast so I can get Powerhome back up and running.

JT,

Sorry to take so long to respond...Im in Casselberry, FL and Im still recovering from Charley.

Two things to make sure of...first, check your pwrhome.ini file under the [Database] section. Make sure that the DBF parameter points to the correct pwrhome.db file.

Second, make sure that no other program is accessing the pwrhome.db file including the Database upgrade utility. You'll get the ODBC configuration screen if the DBF file is open by another program. When everything is working properly, you should never see this screen.

Let me know,

Dave.

Thanks Dave, the path in the ini file was incorrect. Seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the help and best of luck with your clean-up.
