Hi Dave,

Found that after teaching PH the IR codes using Pronto format I had to manually go in and add a # after the lines. Don't remember having to do this with my RR2.

Thanks, SA

Steve,

I checked the code out with the RR3 and you shouldnt have to. The RR2 required a # at the end of the code and the learn routine added this automatically. The RR3 still supports this format (RR2 code with a # at the end) but uses a newer storage method when learning.

When the RR3 is set to learn codes Pronto style, it should place a "<Pronto>" tag at the beginning followed by the pronto code and should not require a "#" at the end. The same goes for learning in RR2 format. A "<RR2>" tab will precede the actual RR2 code with a # at the end.

The code for the RR3 should also support the following formats: Straight Pronto code in the format of 0000 00XX 00XX... without a "#" at the end and standard RR2 format code with a "#" at the end. It also supports learning and playing back the default RR3 XML format also without a "#" at the end.

If you could, paste a couple of the pronto codes you learned and I'll try to determine what may be wrong.

Dave.

Dave,

This is what PH entered during the 'learn' sequence. It's for the '1' key. I added the # at the end or things didn't work at all.

Steve,

Ive double-checked again and I still cant find it .

How are you playing the IR code. Is it the IR macro command, ph_ir formula function, Control Center button (web or client), etc. Perhaps it's not within the RR3 module and is hiding within some other bit of code.

If you take the # sign off, do you still get an eventlog message? Will it still fire a an IR out trigger?

I'll bust out the RR3 at home and play around with it as well.

Dave.

Steve,

Also...try removing both the <Pronto> at the beginning and the # at the end. IOW, just the actual pronto code. This should also work and might help me narrow it down.

Thanks,

Dave.
