Can you reveal any plans or intentions towards supporting any of these new technologies?
Please note that I am not necessarily asking for them to all be supported, I was just curious what the future MIGHT hold.

Awwwwwww, you're going to make me spoil the surprise .
I am actually planning on supporting all three of them. I have just within the last couple of weeks acquired the UPB controller and a module as well as the Z-wave starter kit and USB controller. I have the protocol in hand for UPB and am working with a contact I made at EHX 2005 for the Z-wave protocol.
Insteon looked really cool at EHX 2005. The developers kit is also going to be reasonably priced at $99.00. As soon as Smarthome releases this (should be any day according to them), I will be purchasing it as well.
I havent decided in what order I will support the technologies yet however. After the next beta (with the K8000 support) is released, I'll start reviewing the protocols.

Personally, I am most excited about Insteon. SmartHome's marketing push should make up for them being late to the party and their pricing should be unbeatable.
According to www.insteon.net, the SDK is available now, but they have a broken link. For $99 you can get either serial or USB.
Good luck with whatever you choose. I actually met you at the SmartHome booth playing with Insteon at EHX.

Wayne,
Thats right...I remember you now .
I was pretty taken with the Insteon stuff as well. Im building a new house and will need to decide in the next couple of months my preferred automation technology.
Well, they must have fixed the link as Ive just placed an order for the developers kit. It said it was "backordered", so not sure when I'll have it in my hands .
Anyways, thanks for checking PowerHome out and I'll keep you posted on the Insteon developments.
Dave.
