One way I check my configuration is I clear all the communication counts, then do a DB Scan to get PowerHome to tickle all the devices. Plus, this lets me check the links etc. A few of the newer devices get scanned (I can see the events in Insteon Explorer), but the communications aren't showing up in the Communications Reports. The device types I've noticed are: 2433-222 (Micro On/Off), 2477D (SwitchLinc Dimmer Dual-Band), and 2635-222 (On/Off Module Dualband). However, when I do a Status Scan, all devices show up in the Communications Reports. Seems some of the communications may not be counted on some of the newer devices.

Tom,

Not sure what would be causing this. Not sure if its a "report" issue or something else. On the devices that don't show on the "report", do they show data in the comm count fields in Devices tab of Insteon Explorer (scroll way to the right)?

The Micro On/Off I wouldnt expect to really show anything (I believe its a battery operated device) since it won't really have any traffic unless its actually in linking mode. The other two definitely should.

Let me know,

Dave.

Dave,

The devices show comm in the "Ext Comm" fields, but not in the "Comm" fields. All of the devices are I2CS.

The Micro On/Off is a replacement for the InlineLinc Relay, but it has more functions. It is a line powered dual band device with two sense wires, a neutral feed, a line feed, and two terminals for loads.

Here are some picts (wide) showing the relevant info for "Master Bath Lights"

Tom,

That helps alot. Im betting that my reports are only being driven off of the standard comms. Will need to think of a good way to include the extended comms.

I'll let you know what I find out after I go through the code.

Dave.
