Does anyone know of an elegant way to get what is currently playing from Windows Media Player? Ideally I'd like to know artist / title / album / filename but would be interested in a subset or any other info.

I use a completely separate system to control my music collection (mp3's and a jukebox) that's based on a Data Base and some custom excell to pronto csf macros - stuff I don't want to take the time to rewrite now.

But I'd like to be able to have some remote displays that include now playing and various PowerHome stats.

The remote displays will be a combination of serial displays (driven by an external applet that talks to PH) and WindowsCE devices - probably just through web pages.

Any ideas?
