On my laptop i don't have a parallel port.
Is it possible to use the k8000 with PH via a USB/parallel
adapter?
Since such a device is displayed as 'virtual printer port' And not directly selectable in PH.
Regards.

Lantic,
Ive never tested this. I would imagine that it would work but you may have to manually enter the port in the pwrhome.ini file as the USB ports may not be the standard 3BCh, 378h, or 278h. If you manually enter the port number (you'll find the port in your Device Information Manager), be sure and convert hex to decimal for the INI file.
If you try this, I'd really like to know if it works or not.
Dave.

Hi Dave,
Long time no hear :-)
Back in Belgium after a few years abroad and i'm going to get started with Powerhome again in my new house.
Did you ever get a reply if the USB-to-Parallel adapter worked for the K8000's ?
If not i'll give it a try...
Nice to see you're still developing Powerhome and 5515 forum members ??
Nice going man :-)

It was not working with the parallel-to-USB convertor i had. (only tried 1)
For other projects serial-to-usb always works for me.
The parallel didn't. Don't know why in detail. Maybe only focused on basic printer functions.
Didi, intrested to hear the results of your re-started project with K8000's.
