If the Discovery dialogue box could confirm visually and audibly when a device has been 'discovered' that would be _awesome_.
For whatever reason discovery rarely works 100% on my network. As such it is often times the case that my discovery simply doesn't work correctly. I can have all the paper in the world to take notes on and it does me no good when device 4 out of 10 doesn't discover. Now my list is worthless.
I know what I need to do. I know I need to go through the house and take all my switch plates off and record Insteon addresses into a spreadsheet. If the discovery simply made a noise when it discovered a device, I could avoid all that.

Draco,
Your wish has been granted (in the next beta). The next beta's auto-discovery allows you to choose a sound file to be played, TTS to be spoken, and will show what is actually discovered in a real-time log.
Usually when auto-discovery is not working well, the communications are poor. The next version will help you to identify these problem areas as well.
Also, in case you didnt catch it in another message, Im working hard to have the next beta available before next Monday.
Dave.

Nice.
Yeah, that's the strange thing about it. The only thing that seems to work poorly is communications. My switches never seem slow and my links always work but for some reason discovery is terrible. I don't know if it's my PLC itself or what.
