Hi all, first post by a new user. I have had relatively good luck setting up my 20+ dimmers and relays (and one KPL) with a combination of manual linking and creating links through PH.

I recently swapped out a faulty Icon dimmer for an identical one, but cannot figure out how to get the Powerlinc to show up as a controller for it. I have tried creating a link using the software, and it says "pending save", but as soon as I save it the new link disappears without any command ever being sent. L
Likewise, I noticed that my KPL does not show the Powerlinc as a controller, and I haven't been able to add that link, either.   I am able to control both of these devices using PH, so it's even more confusing.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Damutha,

I just happened upon this myself. When you add links and the Status shows "PENDING SAVE" and you save the link and it disappears (instead of getting a status of "FLAGGED CREATE"), it means that some required field was not entered properly (or at all). I'll be fixing this in the next beta so that instead of losing your work, you'll get a warning message.

To fix, make sure that no columns are blank, particularly the group and button columns (I believe the other columns are auto-filled with default values) before pressing "Save".

Let me know if this takes care of your problems.

Dave.

Dave, thanks for the quick reply. That indeed solved the problem. The group number needed to be filled in.
