I'm currently using Houselinc to help control my Insteon lighting. I've found a couple of bugs / limitations that I'm wondering if PowerHome can help overcome.
1 - I use an X10 remote to control some exterior lights on my house that are on Insteon switches. These exterior lights are also controlled by Insteon Keypadlinc secondary buttons throughout my house. Currently, when I send an X10 command to turn my driveway lights ON, Houselinc receives the command and runs an event that turns on my driveway lights.
However the Keypadlinc secondaries do not turn on to reflect the status because Houselinc cannot currently control those buttons. One workaround is to assign X10 addresses to EACH of these secondaries and add those to my event. However, this is not working reliably for me because the X10 signal is apparently degraded near some of my switches. However, the Insteon signal is fine.
Can PowerHome directly control Keypadlinc secondary buttons?
2 - I currently use an X10 remote to control the lighting in my theater room. I send an X10 signal, and Houselinc translates that to Insteon to control the light switch. This works great, except that Houselinc seems to have a bug where it does not translate the BRIGHT / DIM signal correctly. ON & OFF work fine, but BRIGHT & DIM do not. Will PowerHome fix this issue for me?
3 - Ultimately, I'm also looking for some software to provide a front end to my home automation project. Ideally something to control my Insteon lighting, my thermostats (hopefully Insteon as well when they're released), and my wholehouse audio currently running on Russound distributed audio hardware with J River Media Center as a backend serving up music. Something with a pretty front-end, that preferably has a Media Center interface as well as something for Pocket PCs and/or tablets & touchscreens.
How far will PowerHome take me towards this goal?
Thanks in advance guys!

1. I don't use KPL's, but there are several posts about them here. Run a search for "Keypadlinc".
2. Yup. You would just create some X10 triggers to fire off Insteon commands.
3. I don't think anyone here runs JRMC or Russound. If those can be controlled with windows messaging, TCP sockets, or serial, you're covered (with a bit of work). As far as "pretty front-end", I'm fairly satisfied with what I have been able to do (Example 1, Example 2)

I think your interface looks great.
Is it designed in HTML?
How was it created?
Thanks!

Thanks. Those are just web pages containing HTML, JavaScript, and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics).
I mostly use a text editor (Edit+) for them, with the occasional FrontPage Express session thrown in for certain things. I use the vector graphic editor, Inkscape, a lot too. Also Paint Shop and Irfanview.

Unfortunately I'm not much of an HTML coder, was hoping I could find something with some sort of "interface construction set"...

PH is pretty close to that now with the Control Center. Dave also mentioned some new features coming that will bring it even closer.

Tony, what are you serving your music with? I use WinAmp with a custom front end.

I also use Winamp. I previously used the Browseamp plugin for control and music browsing, but the new Winamp PH functions handle this nicely.
