I was looking for a simple tutorial or examples to use but I could not find any.

I have 6 insteon switches, 2*RF repeaters, and the USB controller all from insteon. I am looking for a way to control them via powerhome.

I am really fumbling my way through it and running into a wall.

Any help is greatly appreaciated.

Itai

I did a tutorial for X10 before, maybe I need to add one for Insteon.

How similar is the X10 vs insteon implementation in powerhome?

Tony -
If you could come up with an Insteon Walk through - That would be awesome - I'm still stuck on the whole trigger thing myself and still kind of confused where to start like Itai

There is an awful lot of information regarding PH and Insteon. Unfortunately if you do a search on 'insteon' you will get too many hits. Try a search on 'insteon' and 'dhoward' as Dave does a great job of explaining and describing a lot of the functions/screens that aren't all that intuitive.

Most importantly, when first setting it up, be sure to read the phinsteon.rtf document in the powerhome directory after the install. If you don't have the PLC and SDM installed right, nothing is going to work.

There's a great bunch of folks here that provide assistance! Keep at it and you'll be happy you did.

Charles

I was able to get through the basics and get the controller and my switch to talk to powerhome. I can write a tutorial for what I did, but I think there may be better ways to do the same thing.
