I figured out how to set the local level on an Insteon switch, but can't figure out how to set the level if turned on by a remote switch.
Is this possible in PowerHome?

in the link from the remote switch, there is a column for level and one for ramp rate. that's the level the responder will go to when that remote switch triggers it. This is independant of the local level/ramp and can be different for every link.
for example. Load = switch A, remote switch = swich B
in power home, when you link Switch B as a controller to Switch A, you can set the ramp rate and level taht switch A will use.

OK... I've already linked the switches through HouseLinc, so that must be where my problem is. Changing the local level on both switches in PowerHome doesn't seem to work correct when one switch controls the other.
Should I recreate the links in PowerHome?

Can you view the links in powerhome? There's a settings at the top of the Insteon Explorer to let it go out and spider links (can't remember what it's called). if the links show up in link manager, you can edit it just fine.

I haven't figured out PowerHome yet...
I set it to Link Scan and Status Scan with 10 for a Poll Interval and it's been going for hours now... I'm not really sure how to operate PowerHome yet, and the manual is on the light side....
I go into the Links tab and I see my links there, that were already established with HouseLinc.
Would REBUILD recreate the links in PowerHome and fix the on levels?

Ok, so you can see the links. You can directly edit them at this point.
Go to the device you are CONTROLLING (the load). Look for the remote device linked to it as a controller. At this point, you can change the values in the columns for LEVEL and RAMP RATE. AFter changing them, SAVE them, and wait for the the data to be written. (it will move to the completed column up top). AFter that, you should be able to use the remote switch and have the load switch go to the level you set.

OK. In the LINKS screen I'm looking at the columns for the device's controller. There are columns labeled D LEVEL, D RAMP, A LEVEL, A RAMP.
What are these for, and which do I want to change?
Thanks so much for the help...
