Since upgrading and installing Powerhome on a newer machine, the application is "locking up" and I have to close it and restart it, several times I even had to restart the PC because after the app restarted it it could not see the database. Any help?

Still having this problem, I am going to rebuild the entire database because i noticed that when I am in Insteon Explorer if I download all IDs to the PLM only like 7 of my 19 devices are downloaded yet all of them show in the lists.

You should only have to download min. What OS and are you using a PLC. Also where does it lockup in the process.

It locks up during normal operation, running XP Service Pack 2 which is what I had on the last box. the only reason I made mention of the database issue is because for what ever reason it seems like something in the database is missing. I am using a 2414U PLC I guess.

Do you backup your database. When you lockup does that mean PH won’t open any windows like PH Explorer or do you mean the devices stop responding to commands.

The Powerhome application locks up on the PC, I just end up with a white screen whatever window was open is no longer there and the only way to clear it up is to exit the app whatever way I can. Never have backed up database so that is why I am going to rebuild it.

Almost sounds like a Windows problem. Can’t say I’ve heard of anyone having that type of lockup. I assume you are getting the non-responding message when you go to terminate it. If you are going to rebuild the database why not uninstall PH and reinstall.
