I just happened upon a nifty weather program called WeatherWatcher. The cool part, besides being free (with no ads or spyware), is that it generates dynamic HTML that you can tap into!

No code, I just shared/created an alias for one of the WW's folders in my web server (Weather Watcher\Skins\Forecasts\Splendid). Too easy!

Hey Tony...Thanks for sharing this info.

Here's what I have done to put Weather Watcher to use.

First, I have Weather Watcher check for the weather every 15 minutes. Then, export it automatically using the following template...

The following forecast was updated [Updated datetime]
[SEVERE ALERT]
[Location] the current condition is [Condition]
The Temperature is [Temp] but it feels Like [Feels].

Your Extended Forecast is
[DETAILED LOOP COUNT=2]
[TEMPLATE]
    . . .[DETAILED DAY]
    [DETAILED FORECAST]
[/TEMPLATE]
[/DETAILED LOOP]

Second, I use the WWA2 codes to check for warnings every 15 minutes. If a warning/watch comes in, I have it read the header information via TTS, then call my Weather Macro which just does a ph_readfile("c:\Weather.txt") file from Weather Watcher.

Works awesome, plus I can call the weather macro anytime I want with one of my remotes and know the file will be up to date.
