Powerhome is no longer communicating with any of my Insteon devices. All the devices have been reddened out on the Device tab after allowing polling. I first suspected a problem with the PLC (Smarthome 2814U), however the LED blinks normally when a signal is sent out and when switches are turned on or X10 signals are received. The raw event log also records these incoming and outgoing signals.

E.g.,
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=04
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=03

Event 01 and 03 seem to correlate with incoming Insteon commands and 08 with incoming X10 signals. Also, the PLC will transmit Insteon and X10 commands, but not receive any acknowledgment that the signal was received (although lights do turn on). The event log records outgoing signals, but will not "see" or record any incoming signals. I double-checked to verify that the right boxes are checked in the event log setup. I have also (apparently successfully) reloaded the timer core app and reloaded all the devices into the PLC. Since the PLC seems to see something, why isn't PH communicating? Help!

This is most likely a problem with your PLC. Reset the
PLC by unplugging it and holding the set button in for
10 secs when you replug it. Then reload the timer core
and all devices into the PLC. Make sure to clear the
"red" out from the Device tab.

If that doesn't work it could be a problem with your com
port to the PLC. Try changing Com ports.

If neither of these fix the issue you probably have a
bad PLC. Many of us have been there with the same
symptoms and had to get a replacement PLC. By the way,
the PLM seems much more reliably.
