Hello All,
We are in search os some device or series of devices which would allow us to do the following.
1) We have a lobby in which we wish to have a motion sensor which activates a Beep or Audible alert that someone has entered.
2) Wish List:
We would like to program this alert someone with our own custom alert so it fits our business and is not to Alarm sounding.

Without an additional detection device unique to the employees such as a card reader or a transmitter similar to a toll road EZ Pass, I don’t know of any motion detectors that would accomplish what you want. There may be a face recognition device out there but I would imagine the cost to be high.

Its odd that no one has a simple motion sensor
which beeps or an IR which beeps.
For retail or office use this is very useful

Motion detectors are a dime a dozen but for one that detects a specific individual is hard to fine. You can use a motion detector with PowerHome that will trigger anything you want to do from there such as make a sound or light a light. You can program it only to do things at a particular time of day or day of week.

Great!
I will purchase PowerHome and then locate a sensor which make a noice/beep/ or programed noise.
The future we would have RFID per Employee and it would welcome them but for now we simply want to know someone entered or moved in the lobby.
If you have any suggestions as to the Audible unit which could be triggered I would appreicate it

I currently use PowerHome to announce the phrase I want. I use my PC speaker out for that. The Motion Sensor is Smarthome 2420M. You will also need a PLM and Access Point.
