Hi - I have a mostly Insteon system run off a PLC. I have reason the believe that the PLC isn't handling X-10 signals well anymore (though it handles INSTEON fine). I could replace it with a new PLM, but with two kids in college I want to consider another option first...

I still have my CM11A from my Activehome days. I'm wondering how well this worked with Powerhome under WinXP. The reason I ask is that I remember that one reason I abandoned it originally was that when I switched to XP, Activehome had trouble maintaining communication with the CM11A, because of some issue with the XP serial port driver.

1) Are there any issues using a CM11A AND PLC with Powerhome, plugged into the same ext. cord?

2) I can see that I can assign my X-10 controlled modules to a different controller, but Incoming X-10 commands are non-assigned. Will there be a problem with 2 devices that can -receive- X-10 (albeit one of them poorly)?

Thanks very much
/j

Ok - i figured out #2 (you can program which X-10 commands are handled by which controller).

Except: even will all X-10 reception unchecked for the PLC, I still see (erroneous) incoming X-10 statements for the PLC in the event log.   Did I forget to check some check box?

Still curious if anyone knows any "off-the-manual" issues with this combination.
THANKS!

The Setup options for "X10 Receive Commands" I think is logical processing in PowerHome. I've not seen any means of directing a PLC to physically ignore certain X10 messages.
